A quiet space, held with care.
Personal and community vigils offering comfort, remembrance and reflection.
A vigil is a chance to gather, slow down, and hold space for someone or something that matters. Sometimes it is the night before a funeral. Sometimes it marks an anniversary. Sometimes it gives a community somewhere to put their grief.
I design each vigil around the people who'll be there — the place, the pace, the readings, the silence, the candles, the music. Everything chosen with care.
A vigil is not a performance. It is permission to feel — together, and held with care.
How we'll work together
A gentle, considered process.
- 01
A gentle conversation
We talk through who'll be there, what you're holding space for, and the kind of atmosphere that feels right.
- 02
Quietly designed
I shape the order — readings, silence, music, candles — and share it with you to refine together.
- 03
Held on the night
I arrive early, set the tone, and lead with calm and warmth so you can simply be present.
Common questions
Things families often ask.
- Where do vigils take place?
- Anywhere meaningful — homes, gardens, woodlands, community halls, beaches, places of worship, or somewhere quietly significant to the person or community.
- How long does a vigil usually last?
- Most vigils run between forty-five minutes and ninety minutes, but there are no rules. We shape it around what feels right.
- Can a vigil be non-religious?
- Yes. Vigils can be entirely secular, gently spiritual, fully religious, or a quiet blend of traditions — whatever honours those at the heart of it.
